2025-26 Boom Game Day Entertainment / PA / Emcee Auditions
Can you get a crowd fired up just by saying “LET’S GO BOOOOOOOM!!” while on a microphone? Do you have experience in public announcing for sporting events? Do you love interacting with fans and getting them excited about basketball? If this sounds like you, come and be a part of the inaugural Noblesville Boom season!
We are currently recruiting for the following positions for the 2025-26 season:
-Emcee / In-Arena Host
-Public Address (PA) Announcer
-Game Day / Fan Interactive Team
Minimum requirements for all listed positions:
• Candidates must be 18 years of age by the application deadline.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable means of transportation.

EMCEE / IN-ARENA HOST POSITION
Position Summary:
The On-Court Emcee serves as the energetic and engaging voice of the live event, responsible for driving fan interaction, enhancing the in-game experience, and executing promotional elements with charisma and professionalism. This role is central to creating a dynamic atmosphere that reflects the brand and keeps fans entertained throughout the event. The emcee/in-arena host will lead crowd interactions, hype up fans and maintain high energy throughout the game or event, execute and announce in-game promotions, contests, and sponsor activations clearly and enthusiastically. They will follow the game script and timeline precisely, coordinating with game operations, production, and technical teams. This individual must be able to react quickly to live situations, engage with fans on the spot, and adapt to changes in the run of show, while maintaining a professional and brand-appropriate demeanor at all times. They will work closely with the Game Operations team, DJ, mascot, interactive team, and other entertainment staff to ensure seamless execution.
Ideally, this individual would possess the following:
• Proven experience in live hosting, emceeing, or public speaking (sports, entertainment, or similar).
• Strong stage presence and ability to energize large crowds.
• Excellent verbal communication and improvisational skills.
• Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure, live environments.
• Comfortable using a microphone and working in front of cameras.

• Knowledge of the sport and team is a plus.

Audition process:
-Complete the registration form HERE no later than Wednesday, October 15 (11:59pm EST).
-The registration form will include a place to submit a video link. This video should include:
• A short introduction telling us about yourself and your experience (:30 seconds)
• A one-minute “in-game” hype rally to get fans excited (a.k.a show us how you would get the crowd hyped during a 4th quarter rally)

-Emcee / In-Arena host finalists will be notified by Friday, October 17.
-All Emcee / In-Arena host finalists will be required to attend the in-person audition on Monday, October 20.
-In-person auditions will be held at The Arena at Innovation Mile
-Check-in will begin at 5:45pm and the audition will begin at 6:00pm.
PUBLIC ADDRESS (PA) ANNOUNCER POSITION
The Public Address Announcer is responsible for delivering clear, engaging, and professional live announcements during events. This role sets the tone for the audience experience, communicates essential information, and enhances the atmosphere through voice presentation. The ideal candidate has strong vocal presence, excellent timing, and the ability to adapt to live event dynamics, deliver scripted and improvised announcements during live events including player introductions, sponsor reads, in-game updates, and emergency messages. They should maintain a professional and energetic tone that aligns with the event’s brand and audience, collaborate with game operations staff, production crew, and technical teams to ensure timing and accuracy of announcements and follow event scripts and cue sheets while remaining flexible to real-time changes. Pronunciation accuracy for names, places, and terminology is priority. The PA announcer may be asked to attend rehearsals, production meetings, and sound checks as required.
Ideally, the individual would possess the following:
• Prior experience as a PA announcer, broadcaster, or voice talent preferred.
• Strong vocal clarity, projection, and control.
• Ability to read and deliver scripts with enthusiasm and precision.
• Comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-paced live environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basketball terminology and event flow.

• Audio production and/or broadcasting background.
• Familiarity with sound systems and live production equipment.
Audition process:

• A 1-2 minute segment of the candidate announcing a starting lineup and getting the fans excited for tip-off!

-PA finalists will be notified by Friday, October 17.
-All PA finalists will be required to attend the in-person audition on Monday, October 20.

GAME DAY / FAN INTERACTIVE TEAM SUMMARY:
The Fan Interactive Team is responsible for creating memorable and engaging experiences for fans during live events. This team serves as the front line of fan engagement, helping to energize the crowd, execute interactive promotions, and enhance the overall atmosphere of the event. Members of this team would interact with fans throughout the venue, assist with on-court/in-venue promotions, contests, giveaways, and sponsor activations and lead chants and/or interactive segments to boost crowd participation. Team members would work closely with Game Operations, Production, and Entertainment teams to serve as an ambassador for the team/organization, maintaining a professional and enthusiastic demeanor and assist with setup and teardown of promotional materials and interactive stations. Practices may be scheduled.
Ideally, candidates would posses the following:
• Outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable performing in front of large crowds but also interacting with fans individually.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. To prepare, view the Noblesville Boom game schedule HERE.
• Previous experience in customer service, entertainment, or live events is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Experience in dance, cheer, theater, or public speaking.

-All candidates will attend the in-person audition on Monday, October 20. Check-in will begin at 7:15pm and the audition will begin at 8:00pm.
-In-person auditions will be held at The Arena at Innovation Mile
-In-person audition could consist of speaking, 4th quarter rally execution, on-court activations and any additional activities that would relate to game day. In addition, if candidates have any tumbling skills, they should be prepared to demonstrate them.
