Noblesville Boom make history hosting first-ever game at The Arena at Innovation Mile

NOBLESVILLE, IND. (Nov. 8, 2025) — The Noblesville Boom (0-2), the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, dropped a 120-109 loss to the Grand Rapids Gold in the team’s 2025-26 home opener. 
 
The night was a special occasion for the organization and the city of Noblesville, ushering in a new era of basketball in Hamilton County with the opening and first-ever Boom game at the newly-constructed The Arena at Innovation Mile. Following the first quarter, Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen welcomed the new team to town, presenting Pacers Sports & Entertainment with a key to the city.  
 
Indianapolis native Kyle Guy led all players in points scored with 28. Guy scored his first points in front of his hometown crowd at the 6:15 minute mark of the second quarter, burying a three-pointer from the wing. Early in the fourth quarter, Guy helped pull the Boom within one point with an eight-point run in a 1:34 span. Despite making it a 95-94 game at the time, the visitors would go on to take the second-consecutive win of the two-game Tip-Off Tournament series.  
 
Rookie Steven Ashworth earned his first professional double-double with 11 points and 11 assists, while DeJuan Gordon recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Jalen Slawson finished with 23 points.  
 
The Boom next head West for a doubleheader against the Sioux Falls Skyforce at the Sanford Pentagon in South Dakota, first on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET, then again on Friday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
