Boom Acquires Returning Player Rights to Wade Taylor IV and Patrick Gardner in Three-Team Trade

NOBLESVILLE (Sept. 9, 2026) – The Noblesville Boom, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, has acquired the returning player rights to guard Wade Taylor IV and forward Patrick Gardner as part of a three-team trade with the Mexico City Capitanes and Osceola Magic, Boom General Manager Chris Taylor announced today.

As part of the transaction, the Boom will send the returning player rights to forward Cody Martin to the Mexico City Capitanes, while the Osceola Magic receive the returning player rights to forward Au'Diese Toney.

Taylor spent his rookie season with the Capitanes during the 2025-26 NBA G League season, averaging 13.7 points, 6.1 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 27.3 minutes across 50 games. He led the team in total assists (302) while finishing second in steals (68), third in points scored (688) and third in three-pointers made (117).

Prior to his professional career, Taylor spent four seasons at Texas A&M (2021-25), averaging 14.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals across 141 games (113 starts). The Dallas native finished his career with 24 program records, including the all-time marks for points scored (2,058), free throws made (536), double-digit scoring games (105) and career free-throw percentage (.851).
