In his second season in the G League, the Chicago, Ill., native showcased his potential as a prototypical 3-and-D wing, emerging as one of the league’s top shooters and defensive players during his first season with the Boom.
Gordon made an immediate impact to open the 2025-26 campaign, posting back-to-back double-doubles and scoring in double figures in each of the first four games of the season. During that stretch, he also recorded two or more steals in every contest, quickly climbing the league’s steal leaderboards. He continued to fill the stat sheet throughout the Tip-Off Tournament slate before suffering a season-altering knee injury against Cleveland on Dec. 3, 2025, which sidelined him for 14 games.
Across his first 10 appearances of the season, Gordon averaged 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 52.4 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from three-point range. He finished the Tip-Off portion of the season tied for 16th in the league in steals per game (2.0).
After attacking his rehabilitation process aggressively for nearly six weeks, Gordon returned ahead of schedule in limited action against Delaware on Jan. 18. His production steadily increased as his minutes ramped up, and he eventually found his rhythm, reeling off 10 consecutive double-figure scoring performances - his longest such streak of the season - while shooting 46.7 percent or better during that span. The run was highlighted by a season-high 24-point effort on 9-of-15 shooting from the field, along with five rebounds, four assists and two steals against Mexico City.
Gordon finished the season averaging 12.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals across 34 games, while shooting 52.3 percent from the field and 45.6 percent from three-point range. He ranked second in the league in three-point shooting percentage (47.6) during the regular season. Overall, he tallied 21 games scoring in double figures, 10 games with six or more rebounds, nine games with at least three made three-pointers, and nine games with three or more steals.
