After joining the team toward the end of the Tip-Off Tournament slate, Toney quickly emerged as a key contributor for the Boom, delivering arguably the strongest shooting season of his career in just his third year in the G League.

Through his first eight appearances with the team, Toney established himself as a reliable offensive threat, scoring in double figures in each game while routinely drawing the assignment of defending the opposing team’s top scorer. He followed that stretch with a 10-game double-figure scoring streak that began in February. His top performance of the season came on Feb. 10, 2025, against Long Island, when he poured in a career-high 32 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the field, adding nine rebounds and two steals.

Toney appeared in 32 games (18 starts) during the 2025–26 season, averaging 12.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 51.5 percent from the field and a career-high 46.0 percent from three-point range. During the regular season, he shot 44.1 percent from beyond the arc, ranking 11th in the league.

Overall, Toney recorded 11 games with 15 or more points, 12 games with at least five rebounds, nine games with three or more made three-pointers, and eight games with two or more steals.
